Our Tools

In our lab, we are using a wide variety of behavioral and physiological instruments, with an emphasis on technological integration between the systems.

A. Human:
Auditory Sustained Attention Test (ASAT), Startle response system, Electro-dermal response, EEG and fNIR.

Human Auditory Sustained Attention Test (ASAT)
fNIR (Artinis)

B. Animal models (rats and mice):
Behavioral: Plus maze, T-maze, Open Field, Object Recognition, Pre-Pulse Inhibition, Startle response, Social Cooperation maze, Rotarod, Water maze, Radial maze, Shuttle box, Fear conditioning, Sucrose preference test, stress procedures, Porsolt test, 5-CSRTT and Auditory Sustained Attention (ASAT). In addition, we have the latest versions of Ethovision and Observer software (Noldus ltd.) that also serve as a platform for custom-made software developed in our lab.
Molecular Biology: ELISA, Western blot analysis, Immunohistochemical staining.
Electrophysiology: Extracellular and single unit in-vivo electrophysiological recordings in behaving animals (Multichannel systems ltd.).
